Somaliland’s Kumiye ruling Party has rejected the opposition party allegations claiming that the upcoming Presidential elections will be rigged. First Deputy Chairperson, Hon. Mohamed Kahin has said that Kulmiye does not want to defeat opposition party in the election through election fraud. Mr. Kahin has reiterated that the allegations made by the opposition Wadani party officials is interpreted to disrupt the holding of free and fair presidential polls in Somaliland. He called on opposition officials to bring evidences of the accusations that they have leveled against the ruling party’s intention to steal the polls. Somaliland is gearing up holding its third presidential polls in November this year where three national political parties are to contest. Wadani opposition party asserted that it is against the local observers to monitor the free and fair presidential polls in Somaliland and called on the int’l community to send international observers.
